SCoJeC is delighted that, following its briefing to the Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment, the Scottish Government has responded to a parliamentary question by reaffirming its support for shechitah.
SCoJeC also welcomes an apology from a petitioner to the Scottish Parliamentwhich was

SCoJeC followed up it's recent evidence to the Scottish Parliament on the subject of Nazi-looted art, by briefing MSPs who participated in a debate on about the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Bill. As a result Deputy Justice Minister, Johann Lamont, who described the debate as 'significant', assured the Scottish Parliament that Ministers will pursue the issue at Westminster.
